2004 stratus won't start. HELP!?

My stratus's check engine light came on and immediatly after that it started to bog down and not allow me to go above 2000 RPM's...I would pull over and shut the car off and start it again and it would clear up. then sometimes it would take awhile for it to start but would eventually start. So i got a code from the computer saying my camshaft position sensor was bad. It took me a few weeks but i just replaced it yesterday when the car stopped running all together. After replacing it the car started just fine, idled just fine and ran fine. Three hours later i went to start it again and it was idling very rough and running hard. i put it in drive thinking it would clear up and the car stalled. It has not started since and the check engine light is not on for me to get a code from it. Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be? Could the Cam Pos. Sensor be defective from the parts store? could it be something else now and just be showing the same symptoms as before? HELP PLEASE AND THANK YOU

Regardless of the check engine light not being on, there can still be pending codes in the system. You'll need to scan it again and see what comes up. it may also have a crank sensor bad.

Hi jayjaycol1982, when dealing with a problem like this I always check all wiring and connections at the sensors etc., sometimes you get lucky and its something simple.
