Hi.
It's been a while since I last posted my works here. I just completed my 300C a couple of days ago and I'd like to share it with you here on AF.
Built box-stock with some corrections mainly around the window area since the kit had inaccurate weather strip molding around them and also missing C-pillar inserts.
I did everything I could to make this car one accurate build; spent a lot of time painting, detailing, and weathering.
I loved the color Magnesium Pearl of 1:1 so I replicated one using silver, blue, and cyan paint and painted with airbrush. Clear is my current-favorite Gaia EX-Clear. This time, too, I wanted to replicate one which I could have encountered during my stay in the US 2 years ago. I chose Virginia for the place for my Chrysler and prepared lisence plates and window sticker which are still valid as of today :)

I added some goods for the interior for a dairy driver look. Poland Springs bottled waters, Road Atlas, Tim Hortons', and a Blackberry, to name.

Detailed dash. I also replicated opened ash tray and put some cigarette ends in it.

Unfortunately, none of my friends understand what I've done on this build and how great it came out. They only build Japanese kits :( What do you think? Comments are welcomed.

Another very nice build. Like the others have said, I also love the little details. You really observed quite a lot about how Americans use their cars when you were here.

Incredibly believeable.
The paint looks perfect, and all the little details really add to the layers of realism.

The details and the painting on the HVAC/radio controls definitely made my eye blur. The color and paint job look and suit perfectly on this body. It's one of the best looking AMT kit I have seen built up. If your friend do not understand the amount of work and attention put into this masterpiece, they are totally missing out!

Hi, everybody. Thank you so much for your comments!
I did get some ideas from how people in America use their car but this is also how I used my car during the stay. So, I built this and remembered the good times.
I all made these. Bottles are "carved" to make the shape and the labels were painted.

They are tiny, so tiny.
Thanks again!

What a fantastic paintjob. So smooth and shiny. Amazing.
I also like the little details you added in the interior. Very real and convincing.
Shame about the car though (but that's of course a matter of taste).:evillol:

Thanks, guys!
DerXL, to tell you the truth, I too am not a big fan of those sedans that's been liked by people who like to pimp theirs up. But I thought those sedans look very classy and mean if everything was left stock. Result, I am pretty happy about this.
gpz900ra7, you're right. I tried to replicate one of Blackberrys from the past. lol
Thanks!

Great job! I love to see fellow modelers transform a rather poor kit into a great build.

Finish is very nice, but the subject is not to my taste, interior detail is fantastic

With my very limited experience on revell kits I might not fully understand what you've done to make it look like this, but I can tell how damn fine it turned out. Congratulations! We hardly have the opportunity to build, or even see any AMT kits in our local market, next time maybe you can put a WIP here so that we can at least see how they're built.

It's usually difficult for me to get excited over 'stock' cars but the detail and workmanship on this is outstanding. Do you have a big one too?

One observation: AMT sure gave up on those side mirrors! Did they come from another kit, b/c it sure looks like the didn't even design them to look remotely like the factory mirrors.

How did you paint the taillights? BMF strips and then airbrush? Look good.
