Drivers door

Grandsons girlfriend has a 1999 Montana and cannot open the drivers door from the inside, (outside works fine). They have no service manual and I have not taken inner door panel off but I assume (always chancy) that there is a cable that operates the door handle mechanism. is that correct? If so, I assume again that the cable has broken or jumped ship. Anyone!

1) If two were trying to open the door at the same time, the linkage could be just bent.

2) If using a Slim jim to unlock door, the linkage is probably just knocked off the inner door handle.

The hardest part is finding all the hidden screws on the inner door panel.
