:mad::mad:

I've just inspected this kit after spraying with primer and noticed that the a pillar is warped like crazy. Is there anyway that you guys can think of repairing, fixing, etc?

Thanks

That's not exactly a subtle warping. lol.

Good grief, I don't know how you could have missed that? I can't remember the last time I took a body out of a box and so carelessly started painting it w/o giving it the once-over to properly prepare it for the paint (as in that would have been decades ago). The roof damage would have stuck out like a sore thumb!

You might be able to repair the damage if the plastic hasn't been too compromised already. Some plastics respond well to careful bending in the opposite direction from the warp. Key word "careful". Also test-fit the glass to the body, it may help to re-shape the roof to it's more natural shape when glued securely in place.

I still cannot fathom how you didn't notice the damage until after you painted it...subtle it is not.

Seems like most people are amazed you didn't notice the damage vs. helping.... He only primed it....

Try to test fit the windows like zoomzoom said. While carefully bending it back in place, a hair dryer might help out but be careful cause you can damage the whole thing and end up having to make it a convertible!

Chieflongshin - not much help so far - I've not tried to repair something exactly like yours "window pillar" - but I have corrected deformed plastic parts by heating some water - not boiling - and dipping the deformed area into the water to soften the plastic slightly so that it can be massaged back into shape. Sometimes just heating the part in water and letting it cool again it goes back to its original shape - give it a try but this is just a suggestion - hope this helps - John
