so still having issues the engine runs cant be shut off really once in park wont really shift back into the gears, the digital dash for the odometers and R D N 321 thing flicker and then all the gauges shut down could it be the cluster thing? the whole dash going down as the engine still runs when the whole dash goes dead. is there another computer for that? anyone have any ideas

ok i took a video going to upload it but what happens is the wippers run without doing anything under the dash there is clicking like the gauges dont work the engine doesnt run right u stick it in gear it shuts down, but if u turn off key it doesnt shut off unless u put key on and put in gear and try to stall it

Hey, nice video..... sorry to hear about the problems though.

Not that this is any help but your trany noises sound pretty loud too.... When's the last time you did any maintenance or had the trany worked on?

Sorry, I'm not a car mechanic but I'll be watching this thread to see what's caused your problems... Keep us posted!

now i did search on google and found someone else had siimilar i guess and they say its a BDM computer i dont know what that really does but i take it controls everything and its expensive i guess

is nothing cheap thses days
but ill make sure to post if i ever get this fixed its sitting in my drive way and since mom cant drive stick i gotta drive her all over the place lol

MIL code 66 is telling you you have a CCD data bus problem and fixing this has a good chance of curing many of your problems. Specifically it can mean two things : No CCD messages from the TCM or no messages from the BCM. That is saying either the transmission control module or body control module isn't talking to the instrument cluster. To determine which one applies head to an Autozone where they will scan for your code for free. If it's the TCM issue you'll see a P1698 code. If it's the BCM issue you'll see a P1695 code.

In either case, before you spend a dime smack the top of the dash above the instrument cluster and watch for any changes. If something comes alive it's a good bet you have the all too common cracked solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board. Even if nothing changes it's worth checking because it is the most common fail point for on the data bus. A failure anywhere on the data bus can effect seemingly unrelated systems. If you want to have a look at the back side of the cluster and the solder joints I can post a link to a slide show showing you how to gain access and make the fix. The fix? Retouch the solder joints with a soldering iron. If you have one this might not cost you a dime.

so i tried the hitting it didnt help after disconnecting battery and putting back on dash works fine so i hit it and no change only change is i guessing these vans were installed remote car starters as this thing was malfunction when i got it and the box just clicks like crazy when i hit the dash

so i finally fixed the issue it wasnt any of that its stupid how dodge makes it
but it was the battery terminals i kept hearing clicking etc right
well i jsut lifted hood to check realys under there till i saw red spots heating up on the battery termanal its the damn ground
there three damn wires why three?
so one is the ground the 2nd is the computer or so cuz it controls power windows and the 3rd one i dont know it was turning red and sparking so i took the thing apart and made new connections for the battery etc but why cant they ground the comp to the chassy so engine runs good again and windows etc, but what a piss poor design never would have thought battery terminal connection considering it starts right
total BS
