Hi,
I'm interested in learning the basics of car care / maintenance because I feel a bit embarrassed by my lack of knowledge on this subject.
My dad / brothers are both very practical and mechanically adept.
I, however, am more of the intellectual type.
Too late for me to spend time in a garage with them since I'm already a senior in college living away from home. I currently own a motorcycle but not other vehicle.
What would you recommend? Is there a newbie forum for people like me?
Is there any book I should read?
Please just point me in the right direction
or, you know, make me your apprentice.
Thanks for the time

Park your bike in your bedroom, and rebuild it :icon16:
I know it sounds crazy, and it really is, but I've found the best way to learn about cars and engines is by working on them.
Since your at Uni though, have you had a look through the library?
There should be some good books on automotive and mechanical engineering.
