02 cavalier sputters and stalls

Hi! My 02 Cavalier has been sputtering and stalling at red lights for about 6 months. I recently took it to get an oil change but that only seemed to make it worse. Before today it would sputter slightly and die at red lights in drive or neutral and even sometimes in park. I also noticed that when it is idling the lights sometimes flicker. Today the sputtering went to a whole new level and it sounded like the car was taking in way too much air and the check engine light began to blink. It is at Aamco now and I will get the repair codes in the am but I'm just trying to know what I'm talking about when they call (so they cant completely rip me off) Thanks for any help :smile:

Tune up the car. Or if the car is tuned...clean the egr valve...if that helps the car run better then you will need to replace the egr valve.
