1995 probe wont idle

After replacing the head gaskets (front and back) me and my father ran into alot of trouble. we got the car back together and it wouldnt start. we had checked all our connections and after my dad gettting frustrated he called a mechanic and he came and took a look at it and said try the distributor. 2 weeks later the part came in and that what it was. now the car will run but i have to rev the engine and keep the rpms about 800 to keep the car running. the check engine light has came on and we got the codes 25 and 41.

25 = Fuel Pressure Regulator Control (FPRC) Solenoid
41 = Variable Resonance Induction System (VRIS) Solenoid #1/High Speed Inlet Air (HSIA) Solenoid

now i dont know where or what those are but my dad does and he doesnt know how to test them or how that could be related to the car not running.

also when we put the distributor in and tried to get the timing fully correct it did not seem to move when he played with the distributor. i dont know exactly what that means but from reading other forums i as an unexperienced teen has come to the conclusion that the car not idleing has something to do with the timing. i have mentioned this to my dad and he is not totally sure what coule be the problem.

any suggestions would be awesome. will run them by my dad and see what he says or if we have already done it.
