Hey all, it's been a while since I've posted a build thread, so here goes

Tamiya Golf VR-5 and I'm using a custom made body kit. It's a pretty subtle, but very clean kit. The rear lower wing is a bit off, but the maker assured me that when it's re-done properly, I'll be receiving one. This kit is actually a one off master that is made of bondo glazing putty. I will also be receiving some lower valences for the rear bumper...or a whole bumper, it hasn't been decided yet.

anyway, who cares about all that, here's some pics

Pics were taken with my Droid-X phone (8mp!) so quality may not be as good as some, but at least it is average for most.

Let me know what you all think.

I think it's a promissing start, I love the front and side skirts, but really not the wheels and the bottom part of rear wing... only top part will do the trick imo (maybe a bit longer, it's what I'm doing for my MK5 R32 and it looks terrible - very agressive).
question of tastes, but anyway I'll follow your wip with attention ! ;)

I am thinking about making it wide body too, but I think I'll save that for another day. I want to make this one as quickly as possible. I haven't finished anything in like 2 years. lol

Your not the only one!!

Im eager to get back in the seat and get back to my 337 build. Great start, although i would've picked different wheels. Is there more t-kits avaliable from the caster? Would like my hands on one.

Good luck.

Bro great job in bodykit... I built one in 2004 and you need to do all pre assembly before paint job... It's very tight to fit chassis on body... Without some care you could broke front bumper easily...

Keep us posted!

Thanks for the tip, boss.

As for other t-kits from the caster, no, this is his first try. He really doesn't feel it's his calling, so he's been working with me and we'll be finishing this body kit. I may buy some more rubber some time soon before I lay paint and try to make a mold.

Currently, I'm going to try and graft some hood vents from a Sierra RS200 onto the hood of the golf...don't know how that's going to turn out, but I'll get some pics.

well, I gotta go back to work.
