Hello,
Wanted some info on what hardware and software I need to update my truck computer software. Wanted to change my shift points and some other little things, along with a general software update. Could some of you carrier racer gear head help me out. Where do I start.

I have not used this equipment but I have talked to owners that have ...they say it does offer better performance and this is adjustable for what YOU may wish to change. also this has a forum with great help from those with this product..
I do not in any way agree that this should be done ..you could if you screw up , damage the vehicle.. be very careful and study much about this before entering this arena...http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?module=htmlpages&func=display&pid=67

You can be assured that I'll study all the options before doing anything. Just exploring options for now. Surely there is more then one way to do this?

I would check with both GM & www.alldata.com (http://www.alldata.com) for updated reflashing 1st.
