Hi all, just put a deposit on a new 2011 Jetta S Automatic 2 days ago, gonna pick that baby up on the 5th. This is my first car, I usually used my sister's 2001 Camry LE occasionally before this. I want to put new wheels on the Jetta eventually. How do I go about doing so? What do I have to know and where do I begin? Also, for new wheels that are bigger, would I have to modify the engine as well? Sorry, I don't know much
Any help is much appreciated!

You don't have to touch the engine at all just by putting on new wheels. If the rims are different size then the stock, you just need new tires that will fit the rims.

Welcome to AF!

You couldn't have come to a better place to learn

Must be cool getting a new car for your first car. It's a great experience owning your own, you get to learn so much more.

Putting different wheels on it is very easy, as long as the diameter of the new wheels and tires is the same the original ones, you don't have to change anything else.
