I don't know much about cars except looks, and these I found on a German website listing the years and types of cars. The specs on the ones before I found from a Die Cast Model website.

Fast and the Furious is GAY, i wouldnt try to copy any of those cars in a million years!!!
Try looking to Japan for inspiration not America. Americans seem to take a good looking Jap car and make it as trashy and ugly looking as possible!

Send an email to user name "tyndago" on this forum of the Fresh Alloy forum.
His name is Sean Morris. He worked at Motorex back when F&F was being filmed... he'll know everything you want to know about the car...
Either that or search the forums... there was a discussion about the car not too long ago... I think the car belonged to Craig Lieberman during the filming... do a search for his name and you should be able to find that thread...
Can't remember whether is was this forum or the Fresh Alloy forum though...

How many times am I gonna have to repeat in these threads I AM NOT copying these cars, i'm doing it strictly for research!
I like alot of imports, but just because they're imports doesn't mean they can automatically beat any American-made cars out there.

My interest in them has to do with a RPG(Role Playing Game) which is for the characters and the racing, not the cars or the pop culture.
Since I can't sit down and spend weeks upon weeks of creating custom cars just because the cars in the movie are unrealistic, I choose to use the ones from the movie.
Yeah I already expect "Why the hell would anyone wanna base anything off of that shitty movie?" but i'm used to that sort of thing.

I will probably be wrong on this but I'll try. I'm doing this off of memory so if Sean sees this he will probably correct me.
The car was an HKS Twin 2530 set-up that made about 560 horsepower
It's best time was a 10.71 in the quarter.
Block/Pistons/Rods/Crank were all stock.
It was an R33 GTR but I think that has already been mentioned.
In terms of 0-60 and 0-100 times only Sean would probably know the exact numbers.
It had no body kit and no rear end modifications.
I have seen cars with 2530's run 4.1 0-60's but Sean's was set up more for drag racing than these so that time is probably a bit high.

1996 Nissan Skyline GT-R V spec.
The nitrous was installed after the movie , but after the movie...
I did run 12.1@110 just after it came back from the movie.
0-60- hard to say - in the 3's
0-100 - I did 0-104 in 7.6 seconds
1/4 mile - 10.71@ 137 was best
It had Work's on it. Dont remember the tires....
Engine mods changed a little...for the movie it was stock with stock turbos....

I have so many pictures of it , because I was involved with the car from the start . It was the first GT-R I ever drove.
One of the quickest GT-R's in the US . Competed at Pikes Peak in 1999 - set the showroom stock record. Raced in One Lap of America. Was featured in Fast and Furious , etc.
It was on the cover of Sport Compact Car , but minus the graphics.

sean, what about the twin T51 setup you were considering? post about it at gtr.co.uk if there'd be more interest there.

leon was the guy with the yellow car...
the guy that had the scanner (in the first one)
in the beginning of the flick, he told the pizza guy to find another route... sounding familiar?
