2003 Chrysler 300 m Special

I'm thinking about replacing my moms front struts with the ready strut everything already attached. , But how difficult is it, I read somewhere you have to remove ball joint....I have done struts on 2003 regal and newer impala..just wondering is this a big job I'm not to familiar with Chrysler's.

Pretty much the same thing except the tie rod on the 300 is mounted up hi...almost near the top of the tire. WIERD!!! I would slightly spray some white paint on the lower hub bolts, just so it easier to set the alignment back to where it should be. Maybe dust the upper strut mounting bolts with baby powder to mark those lockations as well. Maybe youll get lucky and not need the camber adjusted at a shop. One thing for sure though = lube both the rubber spring pads with SILICONE grease. and also use some kind of thread locking liqied on the big LOWER strut bolts.
