hey, i'm pretty sure that i need new shocks on my 1996 chevy k1500 (when i had took a back one off i pushed it in and it didnt push out at all) anyway i was wondering how much difference new ones would make on front and back or just front??? because the leaf springs take alot of the impact dont they???? also what ones are good ones i do a little bit of offroad and im looking to spend about $150 at most thanks.

Can only speak for myself, but I changed all four shocks on my 98 Z71 with Bilstein's replacing the oringinals and the ride improved dramatically. I didn't realize how worn my old shocks were. If you're going to replace them, do all four.

I agree with frank ...I too have the bilsteins. always replace all 4 shocks.

you however will require more than 150.oo for shocks...

with the use of cheapo shocks this over the years I have proven to be not to smart. you pay extra for worn springs/front end components/tire wear. short term gain long term wallet pain.......
