97 3.8 into 2002?

I have a 2002 gt with bad motor. I also have a 97 gt that was rear ended with 78k on it. Will they switch out easily. Are there certain things I should watch out for? Thanks in advance.

The engine out of the 97 should work in the 2002 however, make sure to use all the sensors, ignition module and other components from the 2002. The 1997's had a different PCM than the later models and if you switch all the assorted components from the 02 on the 97 engine you shouldn't have any issues.
