Help! When driving with AC on sometimes my engine just quits. Bell rings and all power is gone. I pull over. Shut off everything and it will start. However, it will stop again and sometimes when I put it in park with AC on, it will stop. Have replaced fuel pump recently and had dealership put on scope and they can't find anything.
Any ideas please?!

clean the throttle body/IAC with throttle body cleaner. If you have PCV mounted on the driverside valve cover replace it and make sure the vacuum hoses are not cracked damaged loose fitting.
the idle issues are usually these items ...
If this was all done recently then measure the fuel pressure. 53-62 psi.
what fuel pump manufacturer did you use ? airtex is known for failure.
idle speed should be a solid 500-600 rpm..if it varies ,,,the cleaning is required..I do this about 25-35,ooomi of use.

cleaning this is no big deal. tooth brush, throttle body cleaner, some small tools. If you are not good at this then have a repair shop clean it. warn them not to use any carb cleaner...if used it will damage the gaskets and rubber /plastic parts..
I would get another mechanic however. I say this because this is all to common of an issue with these vehicles. since he is confused this is not good !

I agree completely and thanks again. Will give this a shot and see how we do.
