Well, after my marathon build came to a crashing halt because of a supplies issue (only the Starliner was finished, unfortunately) my family convinced me to take a break from modeling and get back into a hobby that we could involve the whole famn damily in; Slot Cars.
So, I'm putting my modeling skills to good use on this DRS Bracketmaster chassis with Super16D motor. Take a look at the body that's going together on it. ^_^

Watch for a wild paint scheme to follow soon enough. It's a nice change of pace, plus a good use of a junk C5 body I'd say.

So it that a slot car or is it a 1/24 scale car??? It looks like it's 1/24 but you mentioned you're building slot cars from now on...

It's 1/24th scale and it's a Slot Car. I used to race 1/24th GTP (until Hobbymasters Model Raceway closed). Now there's a new track and I got to dust off all my old equipment, plus am building cars for me and my munchkin stepsiblings.
You must realize that true competition slot cars have almost always been 1/24th and usually use lexan bodies like those on RC cars. The scale craze is hitting heavy in the 1/32nd arena, but 1/24th remains as it has been for sometime. Though this new track has a 1/24th scale model body stock car class for their tri-oval, and I have this junk AMC Matador by AMT that needs a home.
And I'm not stopping building models, just taking a break for my nerves. I sort of went to pieces after that marathon attempt.
