The Citroen looks okay to me though I don't like the molded-in seatbelts. Why is Revell offering a 2CV when Tamiya's is readily available and outstanding? And why didn't Revell tool up a Citroen DS instead? Oh, what I wouldn't give for a quality 1/24 kit of the DS.

Yeah, the 2CV is an interesting car but I'm pretty sure everybody that wants to build one already has the Tamiya kit on their pile. It troubles me that the product planning people at these model companies are so bad. Just think, for about the same investment they made in yet another 2CV tool they could have done a McLaren F1 (or any one of a half dozen other major vehicles with no injected kit yet) and set the hobby on fire. They only need a Countach and Lotus 79 to complete their line-up. One might be tempted to forgive them for being risk-averse on the tail of a global recession but I think the 2CV is a very risky choice!

Ok, I'll stop whining now and be appreciative that the majors are doing any new auto product at all.

The R8 Spyder looks great, I read here awhile ago that the engine has been changed to the v10 version, hopefully this means theres a GT3 racer version or R8 V10, cause theres not really too much point in the spyder having a full detail engine with the tiny engine cover! Yes why oh why do the model companies seem to want to copy each other, dont they all have a Lotus 78 each & a Nissan GTR too!! C'mon Revell, how about a McLaren F1 or the new F1 & new GT3 or hey even a Ferrari GTO!!!

I find it unfathomable that there's another 2CV being tooled up by Revell AG, and no sign of a bloody 599GTO? Or a DS19/20/21?? Or *fill in the blank*

What's wrong with this picture? :crying: :banghead:

What really amazes me is that Revell Germany haven't done a Veyron - I'd have thought that would be a "no-brainer"

Thanks :sunglasse

The reissues don't do a thing for me...1/25 scale Porsches can make a whole new generation hate those kits

Great! They really improved the look of the headlights compared to the R8 coupé kit. And look at those wheels! I always thought about taking them from a Die-cast but Revell´s are much better. :-)
