I have a 350 chevy V8 that has been bored .40" over and it has a small, hairline crack in one cylinder wall. I can feel it with my finger, it's about 3/4" to 1" long and is in the top third of the cylinder.
My question - Can that cylinder be sleeved in order to salvage the block ??? ... or is it garbage because it has been bored already ???
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thanks, duggie

Get another block. Sure, you can sleeve it if you want - for twice the cost of a replacement block. A replacement blocks with no cracks hidden by sleeves; a replacement block with no cracks that will grow.
