91 mpv headlights come on

have a 91 mazda mpv 6 cyl. after turning vechicle off headlights will turn them selves back on after a period of time can anyone point me in the way to look at

I have a 90 mpv w/6 cyl. the problem lies within the actual knob. you have to pull the steering wheel then there will be two small screws and a plate, you'll have to be careful not to lose the 3 small bearings you'll see where they go when it's apart. The screw at the end of the shaft might have loosened up just enough. there should be NO PLAY IN THE TURNING MECHANISM WHEN PUT BACK TOGETHER, IF THERE IS THEN SOME THING'S OUT OF WHACK.
