Kia Optima passenger door wont open

I have a friend that purchased a 2003 Kia Optima SE and she cannot get the door open. Im not sure if it is locked or what. It doesnt appear that there is any damage to the outside or inside of the door. It hasnt been wrecked. Just trying to figure out why the door wont open. It has remote locks also. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Can she get in another door and check if it will open from the inside. Will the door open with the key.
