I am needing to pull the engine on my monte. Do I need to remove the alternator in order to get enough clearance to get the engine out or not. The haynes manual makes no mention of having to do it. Anything else that needs to come off? All help from experience is appreciated very much!

I answered my own question in time finally. Answer is no. Leave it bolted on and just disconnect the wires as you are pulling it out.
