I have a 96 chevy cheyenne 1500 and right now I have it so that instead of 2 pipes going into one muffler I cut the the muffler off and put 2 cherry bombs that are right next to each other. i was wondering it it would be worth it to me to cut the pipe that cuts across the truck and just made both of the pipes straight what difference would this make??? thanks

You would be better off to just leave it OEM with OEM muffler.:lol2::grinyes:

So you cut the converter out too? I assume (since all my experience is with pre-95 c/k) it goes across at the wye pipe and goes into one converter. Either way, it's not going to make a hill of bean of difference which way you go. If its 4x4 you would have to clear the transfer case and all that junk. I would seriously just leave it alone. Exhaust is expensive and unless you just have money to burn if it doesn't leak and it sounds decent leave it alone.
