Hi all....I need urgent help with a 2004 Quest. We changed the starter this weekend and everything checked good for 4 or 5 starts. It wasn't driven at all for the rest of the weekend. Yesterday it started fine and was driven about a 1/4 mile then sputtered and shut off. Now as soon as you start it, it will shut off. I checked the connectors and vacuum lines to make sure that they were connected...we pulled the inlet duct between the air box and throttle body to get the starter out. Please help as I am out of ideas...thanks

You need to determine if you have a fuel problem or a spark issue when it dies. Spray some carb cleaner in the throttle body after it shuts off to see if start, if so it is a fuel related problem. If no start then check for spark.

it starts but the idle bounces and it starts sputtering. when it sputters there seems to be alot of back pressure between the throttle body and the maf. We looked at everything and dont see anything that was knocked loose during the starter change. we did find this canister that the top vacuum line is not connected to anything. From what I can tell, is it a transmission breather that does not get connected? Pics attached

IS the check engine light on???? If so can you get the codes and post?? Not sure where the back pressure would come from but it would affect the maf sensor reading to the ECM.
