Are you adding an overhead computer? If you are, then you are trying to do exactly what I did with my 2001.
This may be different on yours because the they body style changed in 2001. In my van, the harness for the dome lights and the computer ran up from a plug located behind the plastic cover that hides the front passenger shoulder belt. The plug is almost on the floor. That plug has all the connections for the dome lights, vanity mirrors and computer, regardless of whether the van was originally equipped with a computer. I had to replace the harness that runs from there up, because the original harness does not have all the wires needed for the computer. I got my harness from the same donor van for the computer.
I ran the new harness to all the lights, too. It is not very difficult to do. For me it was well worth it.
Like I already said, they changed body styles in 2001 so maybe yours will be different, but it is worth a try to look for the plug.
Once you find that plug and run a wiring harness that has the wires for the computer, everything will work except the outside temperature. You will have to add a temperature sensor. They are located near the bottom in front of the radiator. If your van did not come with a computer it will not have a temperature sensor either. You will have to find out where to plug it in, because I have not gotten that far on mine yet.
Good luck!

Thanks for your help, there was no time to reply because I work all day and still complete the installation I had to get out and test if it works and complete project.now is interested in me because of where the is accurate sensor to measure temperature because the srevice manualu writes in the front bumper where is this connection, because the display shows through zero degrees, so I would like to finish this project.
Thanks again for the advice.

If the van was not originally equipped with it, there will be no connection. You will have to make your own.
On my 2001 I had to run a wire to the FCM, but the 1996 does not have one so I do not know where you have to run your to, sorry.
