How do I find TDC on #1?

Getting ready to finally change out the timing chain assy. But I need to set it at TDC on #1, and I don't have Mr. Chilton or Haynes around.
And if anyone else has done this and has some tips or caveats, please let me know!

Remove #1 spark plug (towards front of truck) turn crank by hand till you can see the piston with a flashlight at this point your dist should be pointing to #1 sparkplug wire on the cap, Then you have TDC. Also there is a small line on your underdrive pully "balancer shaft" mark it with some white out or something white that you can see when it is at the 0 point on your indicator off your block should read( 20-|-10-|-0-| )

Thanks. Still have a damn flat spot in accel. from 3200-3500 rpm that I can't figure out.
