03 overdrive off light flashing

While I was towing my camper home over the weekend I noticed the O/D off light flashing. Is that Ford's way of saying it is over heated since the temperature was in the 90's. If not, than does anyone have any ideas?

Have the PCM scanned for any trouble codes. If there is a code that is like P0750 or something with the 700 series, that is transmission codes. Post the exact code number and we can help.
