Alternative tire sizes

Hi,

My original rims have my winter tires mounted on them. I would really like to own a second set of rims for summer tires. I drive a 2WD 1990 Toyota Pickup ext cab, 6 foot bed.

What I want to know is: are there any 14, 15 or 16 inch rims out there that fit my lug pattern?

Also, If I were to switch from the stock 195 75r14 to 215 55r16 for example, what changes are there in handling or wheel weight? I already checked that the non stock example is less than 1 percent smaller than stock, so overall wheel well space and speedometer not much affected.

Cheers,
Jai

The 2WD bolt pattern is 5 x 4.5", same as Jeeps, 2WD Nissan trucks, and others I can't think of right now.

Thanks fourwd1. i used that info to search for this linkhttp://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/wheel_fitment.html There's good info here and a list of other 5:4.5 bolt pattern vehicles.

I wouldn't want to make a rookie mistake because I "thought" I knew what I was doing by changing tire size. I don't need bigger tires, just more common tires so I can take advantage of used tire sales.

Thanks,
Jai

In addition to the bolt pattern, you have to consider the offset and backspacing as well.
