First WIP McLaren MP4/5B

Ok, so my first post, thread and WIP. After watching the Senna documentary I had to build one of his cars. I built some model years ago when I was younger but they weren't any good. I found this site and got many tips, picked up some tools and now I've started building. I had started with the front suspension bits but when I went to paint them found the paint to dry in like 10 seconds and almost ruined a brush, so I'm waiting on some Tamiya thinner to get here before anymore painting.

In the meantime I started with the body, putting some putty on the underside and a few spots on the side. I also puttied the rear wing assembly but my camera died so no pics.

And sanded the tires.

Great start I need to sand the tyres on my mp4/5b mine is in the completed gallery

Actually I'm not sure, I think it's just grit form the sandpaper stuck in the tires.
