Ferrari 355 - fujimi kit

Tamiya TS 51 Paint, Testors one coat clear and polished out with LMG kit.
Some photoetch bits, cut out side windows and scratch-built more depth to the door interiors. Only real problem with kit
interior bucket and top of chassis were missing there male and female connectors, had to mount the interior to the body.
need to fix that, because the interior keeps falling down.:banghead:

I really love the color and the paint is flawless !! :thumbsup:

I'm hesitating to buy this kit, I have some other Ferraris whereas I'm not really fan of the brand but don't even have this one which has been for long my favorite Ferrari...
Does it really worth the money in your opinion ?

Phil, it is indeed a curbside model and it's not the best kit by any standards, it is, however, the only one of this car. The air intakes in the doors will take a lot of work before they look right, the interior is rather basic and there are some questionable shapes and lines when it comes to the accuracy of the body. The many great built examples here on the forum, however, serve to confirm that it can be made into a great model.

Thanks for your answer Ales, I think I may buy one, I'm not expecting the perfect accuracy but having this F355 seems logical to me if already having other Ferraris I don't inevitably like more (cars I mean, not the scale models).

Nice work and color combo! Yeah, there's a lot to fix re: this model. One solution to the interior that keeps dropping: put some styrene between the chassis and the tub. If you look at the convertible version, Fujimi actually made an I or T shaped (can't remember) part to fix this problem.

i recommend the kit just because there is no alternative.
and yes those side panels take a lot of filling and sanding.
the small lip at the tail of the car takes a lot of filling and sanding.
very disappointed about the interior bucket, but I'll get around to giving it some under support some day.

one thing about the color, my camera doesn't show purple hues to its true color.
the color really pops more than the photos show.
