I just purchased a olds Aurora knowing that it neededd shocks and struts. The rear shocks made a world of differance but the front struts made for a realy harsh ride. It road better with the old struts. I replaced them with gabrials. Could someone please help me get this smoothed out. I have a hard time believing this is how this car road when new.
The tire preasure was at 42 lbs and I lowered it to 36 lbs and is still harsh. The door panel says to inflate to 30 lbs, I will do this tomorrow but I don't think lbs is going to make that big of differance. The tires are michilen Energy mxv4 plus with a little less than a quarter inch left.
Thanks for any help

The 6 lbs can make difference so trying 30 would be the first step.
Also, it sounds like your tires are really worn. As tires wear the rubber stiffens up and this can cause ride issues as well.
We don't carry Gabriel so I don't have a lot of information on the brand. I have not heard anything particularly negative about them.
