Code P0705 Transmission Range Sensor Circuit malfunction (PRNDL Input)

Tried searching not much information about this code and maybe how to solve it.

I have a 2002 sebring lxi coupe.

I washed the engine a few days ago and now the transmission seems to just pop out of drive or sometimes there is no drive. There is always reverse and the low gears. I have to put the car into low or 2nd or 3rd and back into drive and it works.

Any help with this code?
