Looking for a Chassis

I'm looking for a chassis to build a truck body for. My intended dimensions are about 2.6 meters wide by 4.875 long (well I want it to be 3.2 wide and 6 long but I can't drive it on the roads if it's any wider apparently), but that can be resized as necessary so long as I can build it around those dimensions (about 1:1.875 to 1:2 ratio).

Anyway, I was considering using an S10 chassis from a Bravada or Jimmy or something, as those are fairly close to the dimensions I need. But I figured I should ask in case someone can recommend something better and thus save me some time spent on research.

The S10 chassis have been used in many chassis swaps ( i.e.- 1949-54 Chevy trucks ) . You didn't say what body you are wanting to use but if you go to the AD Engineering website ( http://ad-engineering.com (http://www.ad-engineering.com) ) , you can see what they have to offer and how others have utilized their chassis . You mentioned a width of 3.2 feet by 6 feet in length ? Is this going to be something other than a normal size vehicle ?

Meters, not feet. It's about 10.5 feet wide by 20 feet long (sorry, I'm used to working in metric and didn't think to convert it), however local and I think some federal highway restrictions limit the width of a vehicle to 96-102 inches, which is about 2.6 meters, or so I'll have to modify the body design some, and then rework it around the chassis I end up using.

And I'm building a custom body for it, not swapping a new on. I can fairly easily rework the dimensions and whatnot to match a frame, however if I go too far from the ratio it's going to look weird, which as I said is close to 1:2, width:length.

The primary reason of thinking of an S10 is I used to have a K5 Blazer that was like 80 inches wide and 185 inches long. I think the wheelbase was like 110 inches, but anyway it's fairly close to the dimensions. I figure I could modify the axles somehow to extend out a little more to increase the width of the track, but even if I can't/don't it's still fairly similar. I think it's like a 4:9 ratio, which is just a little bit off, albeit slightly smaller than I wanted.
