hey guys, after driving through a flooded road, my power steering pump has started squeaking rather loudly. i have full power and all, it just squeaks. does anyone know if the whole pump will have to be replaced, or if it is just the pulley or anything? thanks

Have you checked the serpentine belt for any wear? Maybe the excess of water caused it to elongate and loose it's original properties.

Is the belt still properly on all the pulleys? could have jumped sideways by a bit. I assume by squeak you mean all the time running or does it squeak when you turn? if its only when turning then it may be a ball joint or tie rod end.

ya it squeaks all the time, regardless of whether or not im turning. and im 99% sure the belt is on the pulleys correctly. i originally thought it was my alternator sqeaking so i took that off and replaced it, and made sure the belt was on right.
