Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder

Had this project in the back of my mind for a while. Idea was buy a kit cut the roof of, job done!
That was until I started to google images of the 1:1, the rear deck is completely different even down to opening backwards.
Out came the razor saw and the plastic card.
A couple of nights later, a maybe 95% accurate spyder.
The whole of the rear deck between the rear wings and the passenger compartment was redone. The replacement grills which on the spyder are square profile not triangular are actually cut down side armour plates for a humvee from the Tamiya bagage set.
The colour is a custom mix of Vauxhall Oriental blue and seat grey. You will see two types of rim one style each side as I haven't made my mind up yet which to use.

As for the wheels, I like the darker ones.

The colour part of the seats are decals from scale motorsport.They are almost an exact match for the exterior colour :wink:

I've never liked spyders on such super cars, but you did an excellent work !
Hard to say there were heavy modifications, this could be an out of the box model !! :thumbsup:
