This project, like all my other projects, had to be different. :) This one I call - Smashed! I looked at many pics of different truck crashes and went on from there. Enjoy the photos.

This is really a very good-looking model.

Otherwise I am not interested in Trucks, but this model surprises me.

It is, especially once integrated to a diorama, it gives life to it !
I never dare to "sacrifice" a model, and honestly I'm wondering if it's not harder to willingly ruined a model than to build it flawless...
A perfect model is a perfect model, a diorama with such "existing" model is a kind of picture of a living thing caught in the image.
(I can't really explain it better in English and would for sure better find my words in french but this is the sens of what I mean)

This is a great model and dio. There are no specific instructions as to what any model should be built into on the instruction sheets. How many 1/72 scale model airplanes have been built and then set on fire by children. I think this dio and model give us a new context to appreciate auto modeling.
Bad things happen to good trucks, and good models likewise. How did the driver make out?

Thanks for your different point of view. The driver survived.

You must have had some good reference pictures because this looks completely real to me, from the cab sitting crooked and lopsided to the battle scars. But just as impressive, even without the amazingly realistic damage is the incredible attention to the chassis and other aspects of this truck. Even the fifth wheel has the gobs of grease it should have. The base is done just as well as the rest of your work. All in all, one of the best built models I have ever seen. Great job you did.

Looks cool.

Building a "used car" might be a bigger challenge than build the model clean.

Just on thing: the parts of the front window appears a little bit thick, using thinner clear sheet could look better (with lots of cracks), even some additional pieces of broken glass on the dash.

Nevertheless: great model and base, crisp photos

Thanks. glad you appreciate the model. It was fun to build. I personally do not like the design so I wanted to make use of this kit without wselling it. I think I succeeded. :)

Thanks a million. I just viewed many pictures on the net and tried to come as close to the real thing as possible.

I totally agree with quadzero.
Not only does the damage look very realistic, but also all the other elements, like fuel stains, the fifth wheel, buildup of dirt, etc. look totally convincing.

Very brave and very beautiful.
