i have a GTST R33
with KAZE airfilter, GFB blow-off valve, nismo muffler and 300x600 hybrid front mount intercooler
how much power you guys think the car has now
and btw, how much power does a rb25det engine can hold???

Not much over stock.. what boost you running?
When you say how much power it can take.. is that a stardard engine?

yes man
i mean the stock engine
because i am not going to fit a BIG turbo(=BIG $$$$) in, so i am wondering what's the max power out of it??
i have no boost controller yet. so it's Stock boost.
i think i will go for boost controller later and maybe a power fc.
and that will do.. for the engine.

You can get about 160~170 kW at rear wheels with stock turbo and injectors. And thats about the limit in my experience.

I got 183rwkw max' with the stock turbo, over 180rwkw confirmed on more than one DD dyno.
I'm still running the stock injectors, with a Bosch MS pump & adjustable reg, & I've pretty much reached their limit @ 215.5rwkw
Lixid,
If you want to know how much power your car is making, simple, find a decent dyno workshop & get it dyno'd ($50 or thereabouts) you may actually find it's lower than you expect, with stock ECU mapping sometimes it is:(
I've seen a # of turbo Nissans (200SX's & GTS25t's) including my own, that even with good power making mods are only a tad better than (or below) stock, all because of the standard ECU.
A good example was a 200SX @ last yrs (maybe this yrs???) Sydney Auto Salon dyno comp, it had a big Turbonetics(sp?) turbo, external wastegate, EBC, exhaust, filter, FMIC etc... etc... it made around 130rwkw, & it was running rich as hell:eek:, it still had the stock untouched ECU, with custom mapping this thing had the potential to get well over 200rwkw.

OIC
i am getting a dyno soon because the workshop i go, is getting a boost controller for me, and they offer me a free dyno. so i will know then...
btw, is better to change the ecu or just upgrade with a unichip or something???
i am not a very experienced driver(racer), so with the power the car has now... scares me.....:bloated: don't want to kill myself before i learn how to race.

Cool, a free dyno session, gotta' be happy with that.
ECU options is often a hotly contested topic, my advice is....
A complete replacement ECU (No 1 being the Apexi Power FC) is without a doubt the way to go, however they are very costly.
Interceptor units like the S-AFC & ITC or Unichip etc.. can be very good & are much better than doing nothing with the ECU mapping. I've had excellent results using an interceptor to run the show, not everyone has been as fortunate. It really comes down to your budget.
Another thing to keep in mind, the tuning itself, is just as important as the ECU/interceptor used.
Take your time with your mods, get use to the cars power, & be careful in the wet.

What type of fuel pressure are you running? I don't belive a stock turbo can flow that much HP! just how can it be! at 13psi?

Notice I said, " I GOT 183rwkw with the stock turbo"
In my sig is, "T3/T4 hiflow" (ie a bigger turbo), man!!! I would've been amazed if I could've squeezed 215+rwkw outta' the stock turbo, especially on only 13psi :D
