The closest I come to building a tank is Gundams which I just started building.

My friend does! (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49661&highlight=abrams) And he's VERY good at it! He also builds planes. His work is simply amazing.

Yeah. I build quite a few of them actually. Just finishing up a Tamiya M4A3 Jumbo, an Italeria DUKW, ESCI T-55 and Tamiya BMW w/Sidecar. I actually build everything; figures, cars, sci-fi, etc.

Im working on a Merkava II in 1/35 scale right now as a break from cars. I haven't built a tank model in years so its going a bit slow. Damn how many pieces do you need for a tank? :bloated:
A typical car model will have less than 50 pieces, I bet this tank has well over 150!

The only problem I have with tank models is getting the details right, like ware and tear. Also I have problems making the 1/35 scale figures look real...
I guess you can't paint a tank Euro Red with 5 layers of gloss, huh?
