2001 Malibu pass power window problem

2001 passenger door power window is down and won't go back up and I am lost the switch on the driver door or the passenger door will not work the window up or down all the other windows work , I took the door panel off and the window is locked down solid and you can't pull it up (I tried) should I take the motor off and see if I can raise the window maybe due to the motor being lock up ,the motor does not make any noise at all when you use the window switches ,any suggestion will be appricated

Randy, try to unplug the motor and put 12 volts to it. Reverse the polarity to make it change direction. If that fails your motor is toast. A cheep volt meter is also a good tool.
