The first two pics are sweet. The aluminum came out great, i always liked how tamiyas aluminum comes out with clear. Very clean job, thanks for sharing.

BTW What paint did you use for the seat and did you use a certain technique?

thanks guys :)

@lownslow - you should be careful when polishing the body especially the A pillars, mine almost snap. also pay attention when putting the rear diffuser.

@midmazar - on the seats, i just used tamiya flat acrylic paint with an airbrush.

Oh wow. Stunning. This car looks great once you build it. Who cares what people say, the design grows on you.

Now, if someone would custom build a roadster version. :D

Looks very nice; color scheme is nearly identical to the LFA that is located near me, though it is a US car w/LHD.

One nit...you should have filled the gap under the door where you glued in the lower side scoops.

I won't post my LFA here until it is published in Scale Auto. Don't know about you, but I really enjoyed the build, had very few issues. Your rear spoiler definitely fits better than mine. I didn't seat the rear magnets properly :banghead: I haven't installed the little wing spoilers over the rear lamps, not sure if I like them or not.

im leaving mine off they look so out of place on the real deal a full lip wing might be in order for mine but im not sure if my potential customer will dig it

Never liked the car, still don't, but seeing all these great-looking models makes me want to build one too. Lovely job, great colour combination.

:1::iagree:

Exactly my feeling. The possiblity to build out of the car the whole mechanical parts combination is really interesting and tempting... :naughty:

Your model look perfect !!

thanks all for the very nice comments :), i really enjoyed building this kit. i usually modify my kits.. ride height, wheels etc., but this one came out really nice especially for a box stock. maybe this is my best model as of now.

Stunning work. Did you airbrush the ts-17 or was it out of the can? How did you prep the surface?

thanks :) nope, straight from the can, i just warm the can before painting, upon prepping i used tamiya white surface primer and sanded it with 2000 grit.

I love the Lexus LFA. And I'm not alone. Jeremy Clarskson from Top Gear last year wrote that it was the best car he'd ever driven. And again on video. So does the Stig. Even Jay Leno's a fan.

And your model is so gorgeous, so esquisite, so beautiful that I want to get a copy of this kit and attempt building it myself. But I know I don't have the skills and I cheated and bought the AUTOart model in diecast. Nice. Very very nice in fact. But you never get the same intimacy with the subject by buying a diecast as you do with building a decent kit.

Two questions. How long did it take you build her? And did I read right above - you used a rattle can to paint the body in that colour??!
