I have a 90 honda civic DX and I'm looking for a new passenger side axle but the last 5 I have tried to put in were the wrong size. I just bought the car so I'm not sure if I have a newer model civic engine or an Integra engine. Could someone help me out with determining which one I have.

well if it's single cam it's most likely a civic motor.

Yes all integra engines were DOHC.

just under the Head of the motor and to the right of tranny is a small 2"x2" flat panel with a letter number combo engraved into it, such as D15B2, find that number and we'll be able to help you out more.

hey, I just bought a wrecked 5th gen civic sedan for parts for my hatch(needed a 5 speed) and I thought LX';s came with 1.6 nmon vtecs but it has a D15B2. they have replaced the engine with one from japan tho. did they downgrade or am i mistaken on the stock engine in LX's?

and can you tell me the specs on the D15B2? I got the ZC in the hatch now but am having a hard time wiring the distributor to work cuz of OBD0-OBD1 thing. I have one last Idea im gonna try by bolting my OBD1 B series distributor in there(1 bolt lines up, and hollowing rotor so I can turn it where it needs to be cuz the B series dist. doesnt sit in the same position but that will make the CAS think the cranks way off huh? thats my whole problem now, the CAS and it cuts fuel at 3400. it ius already kinda fun to drive shifting at 34, cant wait to shift at 6800(LX ECU). but if all else fails Ik putting in the D15 as well.

is it way less than 130HP/106 ft/lbs? I hate having to go from some power to none.

The D15B2 only has 92 HP@6000 RPM, and 89 Ft/lbs@4500. In other words, it sux balls!

U need to get the axles for that year. Is it auto or manual?? If its auto then u got to let them know that its an auto same with manual. The manual axles are bigger.
