I haven’t posted in quite some time but, wanted to share some great work by John Hayworth at Hayworth Racing brakes.
I am a year (ok, almost 2) into a full restore/rebuild of a GT WC car. The last posting I did was of the freshly powder coated chassis quit some time ago. Since then, new heat shielding, all new plumbing for dry sump and new fuel lines and front and rear suspension are back on the car. The next puzzle was what to do for brakes. The Brembo calipers that were on the car had seen a lot of use and were just plain nasty. I spoke to the guys at Brembo about new calipers versus rebuilding. They connected me with John Hayworth at Hayworth racing brakes in North Carolina. John has worked for Petty Motorsports and Brembo and now runs his own company Hayworth Racing Brakes. Long story short I sent the calipers to John to be refinished and rebuilt and, as they say, pictures are worth a thousand words. He took them part had them media blasted, powdered coated, completely rebuilt them and even did custom Brembo Stencils. I couldn’t be happier with the results and the cost to redo all 4 was about half the cost of buying new.
I generally don’t recommend service providers but, John was great to deal with, offered excellent advice and, as you can see did a terrific job. So, if you have a need to have calipers rebuilt or refinished I'd highly recommend you give John a call. You can get info at his website here. http://hayworthracingbrakes.com/ (http://hayworthracingbrakes.com/)

I envy your stainless workbench tops! Link to pics of the re-build thread? Always enjoy seeing someone re-do something like this.
