Hello my 92 has a clunking noise while braking. pads are ok rotor is slightly warped and will be replaced. Noise only occurs while braking hard. Does not occur with normal braking. Problem is on passenger side. Upper control arms are less then 2 yrs old. Outer tie rod seems ok. Could it be the inner tie rod making this noise?

could be the control arm bushings...

warped front rotors best check the rear drum for excessive wear..if the rear brake shoes are worn only at the top the drums are too worn get new.. when the rear brakes are not braking the front rotors get warped..

passenger side does take more abuse on the control arms tie rods ball joints..check all for wear..need pry bar ......
