Removing rear caliper on '08

Well, I have to take the rear brake caliper off my 2008 Prix. When I put the E Brake on, then release, the caliper doesn't completely release. I've sprayed it with lubricant several times, it worked a little better for a few days, but it's sticking again.

Questions:
-When I remove the brake line, what can I use to plug the line so fluid doesn't leak out?

-Any ideas how to get the E brake cable off the caliper?

I'm hoping that once I get the caliper off, I can figure out what's causing the sticking and somehow correct it. Otherwise I make need a replacement caliper.

Thanks in advance for help!

Sounds like your brake cables going bad. If both rears stick or drag I would be checking the first cable from the park brake peddle. Calipers on a 2008 GM shouldn't need replacing yet. I have a 2000 and 2003 Buick with all original calipers. A lot of salt used on pavement in Ontario, and I also travel couple miles of gravel/dirt/mud road every day.

I was able to replace my failed caliper. I wrote up some instructions:
