Fuel pump issues

Hi Everyone - I'm working on a 2000 Sebring Coupe (V-6, 2.5). The car wouldn't start and it was obviously a fuel delivery problem.

Good crank, spark, etc.

I could tell the fuel pump wasn't coming on when the ignition was engaged, so I replaced the pump.

No problem, and the old one was, in fact, dead; so I didn't waste my money on a new pump that I wouldn't have needed.

However, now that I have the new one on, I turn on the ignition, the pump kicks in for about 1-2 seconds, but then quits, so obviously no gas is making it to the engine.

I've cycled it about 20 times thinking I just needed to build pressure, but no luck.

Any thoughts or ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

LEE
