Kia Sorento fuel pump diesel

Hi, how easy is it to change a diesel pump on 2003 kia sorento,my car has an electric pump ? should it make a noise when ignition is turned on??, is there anything to watch for, i have had a look and it looks simple enough,

Use a DVOM or 12 volt test light check for both power and ground at the pump.
The diesel's I've worked on had a mechanical pump which had to be timed so the engine would run. I don't think this will be a problem with an electric pump.
Your problem could be a bad relay.
