how to program a new key if only one key left 2002 Liberty Jeep

Hi,

I'm from Myanmar (Burma). I bought a used 2002 Liberty Jeep from Japan but comes with the Jeep Cherokee limited edition & Right Hand Drive. I got only 1 key & 1 Remote Entry Key. My problem is

- I need for a spare key so how to program with only 1 key but I bought a new blank key, a new remote entry key & INNOVA EQUUS 3160 OBD2 Scan Tool through Amazon. My friend from Us help me for it. Can I use the scan tool to scan & program for a new transponder spare key. If can pls let me know. If cannot use the scan tool help me how to get it. Also let me know how to program for remote entry key. My remote has only Lock, Unlock & Rear Glass open buttons.

- Also I need to change the suspension parts like tie-rods, ball-joints, ........... . So anyone knows where can I get the replacement parts for my Right Hand Drive 2002 Liberty Jeep.

We do not have Jeep Dealers, locksmiths & service center in my country. That's why.

The INNOVA EQUUS 3160 does not program keys. Your new blank key needs to be gray with a chip in it. They have them cheap on ebay. Before you can program the key you will need the 4 digit secret skim pin for your Liberty. Since there are no dealers in your area you need to find someone that has a T-code pro programmer. This programmer will dump the secret skim pin for you and allow your to program your keys.

I already bought the gray key with transponder chip. I found somewhere on the web about that. if I have two key I can program a new key myself. So my question is can I use the only one key for two time so I can make it. Thank u for your help.

Your Jeeps can have up to 8 programmed keys. You need 2 different keys that have been already programmed to program more keys. It's always good to have 3 programmed keys, if one gets lost you always have 2 key to program a new key.
