86 s-10 blazer-fuel prob

ok let me start over....this truck will crank....but the pump does not continue to put the gas to the engine...has a new pump...and new tank....no leaks....please help:jerking:

Sorry about that.
I missed on year.
I posted year 88 instead of 86 location.
Is yours a big Blazer or just S-10 or a S-10 Blazer and carb or fuel injection TBI.?
On a 86 2.8 V6 S-10 I show fuel pump relay at Left/drivers side on inner fender panel behind A/C compresser relay.
On does not continue to run?
Do you have the 2 second prime up key first turned on?
If so the relay is turning on fuel pump for 2 second prime up.
To aid in finding relay look for a relay with orange 12 volt power feed wire key on and a tan and white wire pump power feed.
Also should have a black ground and a turn on signal wire from computer to relay.
If pump primes up key on hold your finge on top of relay to feel it click/turn on.
To test pump I always Jumper a fused jumper to the fuel pump feed wire tan/white at relay.
If jumped there the fuel pump should turn on and run.
After the key on 2 second prime up The computer if it has good ign spark signal turns on relay for engine cranking and engine running.
Also if fuel pump relay fails the oil pressure switch will put power to fuel pump after oil pressure comes up.
Let us know how it goes.
