Check Engine Light? Symptoms?

Hey there,
So I bought my 94 nissan base model a few month back. It had a little over 130k miles on it. It's been running fine and I took it on 3 or 4 trips that were over 250 miles. Well this last time I made the same trip I noticed my check engine light was on while I was sitting at a red light. Then It shut off after I started moving again. Then after awhile It came back on, then shut off momentarily afterward.
It did this a few times and during the last few times it was when I was going over 65 mph so I let off the gas and and slowed down below 60 and once that happened it turned off. So I figure this would narrow my problem down a little. Or it was just a coincedence. Either way.
I'm planning on taking it to autozone but I live out on a farm and the city is a 45 minute drive so I don't want to risk it unless I can help it.
I haven't done any matainence to it, the dealership/shop (it was a napa shop and a dealership, don't ask me more it was a weird used car place) said they just did a tune up, the wires look kinda new and supposedly the owner drove it a couple times to save on gas. The oil was really clean but after a day (85-120 miles) it was black.
Haven't had any probems since I've bought it and I just put over 1k miles on it this week and as I mentioned it the check engine light just came on, on my way home. I'm hoping it's an 02 sensor or something.
If you need any other specifications let me know I'll post them. And I know autozone will check the codes for free but like I said that's a 45 minute drive and I was always taught to not drive the car with the engine light on. (but i drove it from st. cloud to detroit lakes MN which is over 200 miles with it going on and off)
Thanks for the help in advance

Your cars is OBD-I, autozone will not pull codes for you. They will only do OBD-II. You can however do it yourself. Just follow the steps in the attachment.

Well that is a let down then. I looked through the the pdf file but I don't have a center console, I'm sure if I spent a couple more hours trying to make sense of this I could figure it out, Which I'll be trying here in a a few moments. But i'm sure when i installed my stereo there wasn't an led light back there.

I have not worked on your particular model but the center console is meant to be the portion of the dash where your headunit is mounted. The LED is in the ECM and viewable through a built in window in the case of the ECM. It is usually not something obvious while working the headunit.

Ok, I always thought center console was the arm rest with the container in between the driver and passenger seat. I just referred to the part your talking about as the dash, but I see that it makes more sense "center console" haha. Thanks, so I find the ECM somewhere near where the head unit is. Am I going to have to take apart my dash(c.console) or is it simpler than that. I'm more of a hands on person and reading advanced instructions like the pdf file gets me a little stressed out.
Plus I don't think I've ever seen an ECM so I have no idea what I'm looking for. I understand I will need to record the morse like codes and match it up to the particular code it's giving me.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out here too

The ECM is below the headunit near the floor. You may be able to access it from either footwell. You're going to need to take a peek to determine which side will give you better access. See the attached location diagram.

Awesome, that diagram helps a lot. Thanks much, I should be taking a look at it tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks

Ok so I tore into my car this morning, ripped apart my dash trying to figure out how to get the side panels off, then remembered you said footwell, so I took what I thought to be the footwells off and found the ecm. I couldn't see any led light(s) down there but i did see a couple screws that the pdf file was talking about. I'll look into some more later but I ended up having to fix my stereo and I just finished that a couple of minutes ago.
