Revell Corvette ZR1 - Completed

Here's my latest completed model. It's Revell's Corvette ZR1. Built moslty out of the box other than the wheels and tires. Those are Fujimi OZ's. Painted Tamiya ts-14 Black with Tamiya clear then polished. The interior is two-tone red and black. I chose to paint the brake calipers and engine details red instead of the blue that's used on the real car.

Anyway, thanks for looking.

Very beautiful! It seems to me only that wheels too deeply sit. It is necessary to expand a track a little. Model at the highest level!

Thanks for the comments everybody...

Sabastian, I kind of agree with you. Selecting wheels was a hard decision for me for some reason and now that they're on it there's still something that doesn't quite look right to me. It very well could be the track width. Unfortunately the Revell plastic is a little thick and I might have to thin the body around the wheel openings to pull the wheel out much further.

You can see from this chassis pic there isn't much room to widen the track.

I'm impressed. Looks like Revell have done a spanking good job on this subject. Wish I had your modelling skills to build one to the same standard as your example. Wonder what the Corvette ZR1 and Aston Martin DBS look like side by side...
